Not available in UK how did you get it when I tried to order it the postage was £7,000.00 the reason when I questioned this was as follows: Due to changes in shipping methods we can now ship to UK from our warehouse in China. However, HF-008 antenna is too long and is restricted by the carrier, so we cannot ship it from the Chinese warehouse to UK and we set the expensive shipping fee as a restriction. Amazing isn't it?

Please note that if you order the Baofeng programming cable from Radioddity for this radio it WILL NOT work with the UV-25. It was built with too much material around the plug-in and WILL NOT seat into the radio programming receptacle. They have zero clue that this is an issue and sent me a replacement that was exactly like the first even though I clearly explained the issue.

This model was rushed to market by Raddy with no after thoughts of whether or not the radio should be recalled to fix this widespread problem with their design, which they really do not want to admit to because if they did, it would cost them and money coming out of the pockets of Chinese businessmen from a Marxist, totalitarian communist nation like China just doesn't happen. This Chinese company invested a lot of money in selling this model, as they did last year with a smaller version of this model. The Chinese communists at Raddy don't want to lose their investment simply because they began manufacturing thousands of these radios that had a very serious defect that they should have known existed from day one but did nothing to resolve the problem, so Raddy simply dropped that problem into the lap of their customers and is continuing to do so at the present time, which is scary and tells you something about the mindset of the people who own and operate Raddy. I think this gives us a little bit of a window into the minds of the way the Chinese communists think and operate. This shortwave radio receiver should be recalled but unless Raddy is forced to by legal action or threat of a governmental body, maybe a consumer affairs type of agency, they will continue selling this radio in the hopes the majority of their customers will not realize what they have purchased is a radio with a substandard radio design internally, even though the radio looks great on the exterior. Raddy will not officially admit, nor will they issue a public acknowledgment that this radio should be recalled in order for the company to install a newer, improved design. They won't do it. The only thing that will cause changes to happen with the Raddy company is if this particular radio stops selling, especially on Amazon, because of these design flaws and the only way for that to happen is if the company receives enough honest and yet negative products reviews of this radio that will chase potential customers away. Raddy will then be left will a lot of unsold units which they will continue trying to sell, maybe at a discounted rate, maybe not but unless they advertise this particular model with the muted tuning problem having been resolved, I and many other radio enthusiasts will not buy this radio, though a friend of mine did and he is pissed off about this problem and says it is so unnecessary a problem to have in a shortwave radio in the 21st century. He said Raddy's designer for this radio was an idiot who should have known better. And let's face it, Raddy is ripping off Sony and Panasonic military-style shortwave radios of the latter part of the 20th century. He said Raddy should have known what they were doing but they made the mistake of trusting the wrong design engineer to dream up schematics for this particular radio design and they, Raddy, went with it, hoping to cash in on the popularity these type of radios enjoyed in the 1970's and early 1980's when Sony and Panasonic made them, though they were analog back then.

Anybody know how to disable key beep when pressing the buttons on the radio? I’ve looked through manual without any success.

This is a nice little portable, with that said it is lacking in any techical or wide band uses you may have in mind. Dont think you are going to run to 144 mhz or 432 mhz and get AM or SSB use, dont have it. Dont think you will have great audio from NOAA radio or Ham Radio repeaters, the FM Deviation is locked down to only 4.5 KHZ way down from the 20KH 12.5Khz or even the 6,5 khz we need for repeaters etc. If they announce a software update I will keep mine, if not thinking of sending it back. Ihave way enough AM FM boom boxes. Oh SSB on ham bands works very well, if you want to keep up with friends and nets on SBB HF then its OK. No SSB or FM on CB No AM or SSB on 50 Mhz either. No AM on UHF Mil Freqs either.

I cannot imagine anyone buying one. 8 watts ? HOW MUCH ?

None of the videos show it tuning across the band. Reason? That would show the horrific deal-killing birdies.

It needs a multi colour backlight and lights for knobs and switches for operate in the dark. Is light dimmable ?

I did not have much luck with it and changing bands required you keeping an alan wrench swr meter and a lot of patience.

I've seen literally dozens of LED flashlights, bikelights, powerbanks, etc. marketed as rated at IPX6 that actually have completely open HOLES, SLOTS, and/or ungasketed edges, screws/fasteners, etc in the cases that allow water direct access into the circuitry of the device. Many of them claiming IPX6 (and even IPX7) would not even pass IPX3. Sometimes the same device will have one IP rating in one place in the marketing literature, and a very different IP rating in another. I think unfortunately that many sellers simply do not understand or take this rating very seriously...which is not good for people who may depend on it for their safety or lives in an critical or emergency situation.

1000$ to expensive... I do prefer to buy a ic-7300 or 705 at this price. there isn't even a notch filter which is basic (even on other Xiegu radio), so bad. People want a stable radio handling interferance not some gadget like FT8 decoders etc and unstable firmware.

Looks great if -- no birdies, BCI filter built-in, Bluetooth works, WiFi works, etc. However, reports say this is going to be $1000+. Icom 705 is looking better (even for the price difference). It works out of the box and has no problems. But I hate paying for the VHF/UHF that I have no use for.

I've had the X6100 for about 2 years and there has only been insignificant firmware updates, and almost no bug/feature fixes. It's the quirkiest radio I have ever owned, although it could be a great radio if Xiegu would only support it. I wouldn't touch this new X6200 with the proverbial 10 foot pole -- until I have seen that thousands of people have bought it, love it, and that Xiegu has shown that it will support it.
